My name is Jessica Milette, and I am the therapist and owner of Cultivating Connections.
Transition, change, and loss are all a part of life. These moments can leave us feeling isolated and disconnected. Grief is a natural response to loss, yet can feel anything but natural to those who are grieving. My approach provides space for every type of grief, including losses of not-so-loved ones and non-death losses such as job losses, end of relationships, and life transitions. The grieving process can make us feel incredibly vulnerable, and this space is designed to be a sanctuary for those to be with their grief without judgement.
My experience in grief and bereavement support includes 10+ years of peer-based support and four years’ experience working within a residential palliative care setting. I bring both my professional and lived experiences as a bereaved person to my work as an integrative therapist to find the best fit for each person’s unique grief needs.
I believe in the power of connection; within ourselves, with those who have died, those we are in relationship with, and with our greater communities. I believe that therapy is a space where we can cultivate new ways of learning, thinking, and moving through challenging moments in our lives.
